Exercise with Love as a Focus and

Restore Your Life Balance

Counselling Workshops

It can be interesting, unsettling and perhaps initially even helpful to be given a diagnosis that on some level your mental and emotional health is out of balance.

But afterward, having been told that you have an imbalance, it is not at all beneficial for you to move into a place of fear or resignation. Do not go into despair or shrug it off, become a solution seeker.

“A number of studies have shown that people who take regular exercise experience less depression and less anxiety than people who don’t exercise regularly.”

On average, people with depression only exercise about half as much as people who are not depressing. This reduced cardiovascular fitness puts a person with depression at an increased risk of all sorts of physical un-wellness that may have an adverse affect on our mental and emotional health too.

There is always something physically, mentally and emotionally soothing about anything that gets your body into a steady rhythm, walking, having a swing, running, swimming, or almost any repetitive exercise will do it. Regular exercise helps to stimulate your Vagal System through deeper and more expansive breathing.

Our breath is one of our key avenues for accessing our unconscious mind and doing a little housekeeping while we are there! I often receive some of my most inspirational ideas when indulging in repetitive exercise because it opens up the avenues to my unconscious as I create and utilise my habitual thinking streams!

Regular exercise also helps increase levels of mood lifting chemicals like serotonin and endorphin’s in the brain that radiate throughout the whole body. Serotonin is an important brain chemical (neurotransmitter) that contributes to a range of functions, including sleep and wake cycles, libido, appetite and mood. Serotonin deficiency has been conclusively linked to depressive symptoms.

Over all, when we exercise we feel warmer, healthier, more alive, and if you can combine your exercise with doing something you love, like walking on a beach, exercising with your loved puppy, exploring nature, playing sport with a friend or a team, and then the overall effect of increased energy and loving connection, not just socially but within yourself, can really get you feeling fantastically good about yourself and the world in which you live.

The effect of improving sleep and boosting energy also stimulates and opens our Chakras, bringing your energy into alignment and helping to stimulate a calmer, more meditative state within your body and mind. Chakra therapy is a powerful tool in personal transformation. The chakra system is a complex energetic system, and chakra balancing is one path that can lead you to spiritual growth. Exercise regularly and get those chakras spinning!

You become stronger and more capable as the feeling of power and wellness flows on to the deeper levels of your psyche, giving you a greater sense of self control and confidence that boosts your mental and emotional health and well-being.

On a more tangible level, when you discover and become aware of your unique physical and energetic system, you can balance these systems not only to reach higher personal consciousness, but also to achieve more peace and balance in your everyday life.

Find out as much information as you can by asking probing questions about what is happening inside your body and around your emotional and energetic system levels. Ask what types of healing treatment options are available. Find out what you can do on your own to help maintain a strong mental and emotional balance.

Do remember that if you are unwell then it is wise to consult with your doctor before embarking on any major exercise campaigns, but also consult with an experienced emotional counsellor to work on the alignment of your spiritual aspects too.
